So, really, one could say that if this seat somehow falls into our hands, the GOP's defeat will have been really well-Ernst.

Please let this be true. One of the worst moments of 2014 was seeing Brent Brasby lose to Joni.

Yeah, it's really sad that Ben Bartleby wasn't able to run an effective campaign.

Joni Ernst won due to Bradstad and Kim Reynolds running together with Joni; consequently,  now she is running on her own account and she is losing

Overrated:

*snip*
- Joni Ernst - She strikes me as a pretty meh incumbent who got elected by beating a really weak opponent; I've never gotten why so many folks act like she's such a strong candidate.  I think a solid A-list recruit would make this an instant tossup.  I also don't think Iowa has lurched quite as far to the right as CW suggests.
*snip*

I now accept my accolades* Smiley

*Although tbf the A-list recruit = instant tossup part was admittedly a bit over-optimistic.

It’s over if Ernst loses. Period. Trump will not win, and Republicans can forget the Senate. Say goodbye to any delusions of putting another conservative on the Supreme Court.

I am confused at how Ernst has managed to blow this race. Anyways obligatory ratings change, Lean R--->Tossup, also shows us PPP and Civiqs were on to something. Not good news for Ernst, at all.

She didn't manage to do anything.  Have you been outside lately? lol

We're in an unprecedented situation, here.  Safe seats are no longer safe in a lot of races.

Also I really don't understand why people are so distrustful of PPP.  Sure they work for Dems and are partisan, but they're open about their data and have a damn great track record.   They're top-tier without a doubt.

Can we stop calling states outside the 279 blue wall safe, Ds won 9 seats in 2008 in a wave, they can duplicate it again, in the same Recessionary environment at 10.1 percent in,  not 3.5 percent unemployment

10.1%?

Charles if you're gonna troll get the stats right.  There's currently like 30% unemployment.

Literally a third of workers are without jobs.

Safe R, Bronz Branson would’ve found some way to blow the race by now.
