Jones would need divine intervention to win reelection, with or without a national Bidenslide. Basically, his fate is totally independent of our national results.

No it's not, if Biden wins by 8 pts or more AL will be the 60th vote added to IA, GA, SC, KY and TX as wave insurance.  60 seats or 13 seats isnt out of question with 13 targets

I could see Jones coming within single digits if this is the map, but I don’t see him winning unless it’s actually a 1980-style blowout.

This map isn’t as far fetched as you may think (and some chance this would be the map if the election was tomorrow) but this isn’t enough for Doug Jones to survive.

Jones probably outruns Biden by 5 points thanks to incumbency. Alabama has also removed straight-ticket voting on their ballots.

So it would be tight, though not absolutely impossible if Biden wins by 10-12

I could see Jones coming within single digits if this is the map, but I don’t see him winning unless it’s actually a 1980-style blowout.

1980 was a single digits win, just marginally better than Obama in 2008. That's where Biden is currently polling.

Unless Biden carries Alabama, Jones. Cannot. Win. So no.

As I stated before, if Biden can win a big enough landslide and carry Dems to a filibuster proof majority, Jones would be the 60th seat, along with SC, KY, TX and AK

A filibuster proof majority is now possible since Ernst, Daines and Kobach may lose and GA going to runoffs

Each day Trunp doesnt sign the 3T package that sends new stimulus money and extending unemployment,  Trump's and Mcconnell's chances at reelection gets bleaker and bleaker.  What a shame, Trump is letting McConnell have his way on another bill. Sign the checks, Trump

Absolutely not.

This is the minimum map for a Doug Jones win

Biden 435 EV
Trump 103

PV: Biden 54%, Trump 42%

House: (Dems +10) Democrats 245, Republicans: 190
Senate: (Dems +10) Democrats 57, Republicans 43
Dems flip MT, AZ, KS, GA, GA-S, NC, ME, CO, IA (and AL)

No, and I don't think jones will outperform Biden by much in AL, unless Tubers has some amssive scandal or Sessions is the nominee and the vote ends up being split.

Doug Jones will lose Alabama by at least twenty in pretty much any scenario (except the general election electorate being only fans of Alabama football-I don't think they've ever forgiven Tuberville for coaching at Auburn.)

This is a really, really bad take even by this forum's standards.
