Sure, some person on the internet. Nobody is going to put much energy into protesting a fictional tv show right now. The corporate overlords in charge of SVU will make whatever decision is best for business. If the ratings for SVU actually take a dive, it will be cancelled. Otherwise, it will keep chugging.

The corporate overlords in charge of SVU will make whatever decision is best for business. If the ratings for SVU actually take a dive, it will be cancelled. Otherwise, it will keep chugging.

I've read that Mariska Haritgay is pretty much the reason why SVU remains on the air after nearly twenty-one years. It's a very similar picture with Mark Harmon and NCIS. So long as they wish to continue playing their roles, the two shows will go on. Interestingly enough, SVU is the only remaining primetime, scripted drama program that first premiered in the twentieth century.

The cultural Marxist bad boys came for COPS. They'll come for all things good and decent sooner or later. If you're on the Right, vote GOP up and down the ballot like your life depends on it, because it does.

I don't have a problem with "cultural Marxism". I do with Marxism-Leninism in economics and politics. I also dislike Marxist hagiography. Practically all Marxist rulers were bad people, the only good ones being those who gutted Marxist regimes of their nastiness.

An occasional expression of 'cultural Marxism' comes from German television when criticizing economic and social trends in the USA. It often looks like a hatchet job about crime, drug use, poverty, and racism in America as one might have expected from the old German Democratic Republic. Then again -- one need not be a 'cultural Marxist' to see something wrong about crime, drug use, poverty, or racism.

This said, COPS was low-budget, low-production-value, reality TV. It had no timeliness. Its purpose seemed to be the mockery of criminals. Considering that most offenders are unimaginative, witless people, shaming them on camera is easy and obvious. It gets very boring very fast.
