I have just noticed that this county has trended Republican for the past 4 elections. Is this county slowly trending Republican? I also noticed the county voted Republican in the 2018 gubernatorial election. Will this county vote Republican before Tolland County?

Well, I do say that Connecticut as a whole may be trending Republican. The eastern part is trending right and Fairfield county is swinging to the left. I guess sometime in around 10-15 years, the winning margin of DEMs in presidential elections will shrink to 5-10%.
