Not too long ago, I started having a bit of musical tune stuck in my head, but I couldn't place it.  After a few days, I finally managed to put a few lyrics with it.  This was enough to identify the song in Google, and play it to verify that it was indeed what I was hearing.

The song was a minor country hit in early 1961, when I was a little kid.  My dad used to listen to country stations, so I would undoubtedly have heard it riding in our car.  But it's very unlikely that I've heard it since then; it wasn't a huge hit, or something that's been covered.

Why was this sitting in my subconscious for almost 60 years, and why did it surface now?  It's really kind of weird.

(If you're curious: "You're the Reason" by Bobby Edwards.)
