In this poll, Biden is winning 63% of independents. The CNN exit poll had Trump winning 52% of independents in Michigan in 2016. The difference was only 10,704 votes. Michigan is moving into Likely to Solid territory right now. And TBH, even if Trump wins re-election, I just want my state to vote against him this time.

In other poll findings:

• 63% say the country is heading in the wrong direction, up from 50% in January.
• If the election was held today, 51% would vote to replace Trump, up from 44% in January.
• Independent voters, who often decide Michigan elections, are backing Biden over Trump, 63-23.
• U.S. Sen. Gary Peters, a Democrat from Bloomfield Township, leads Republican challenger John James of Farmington Hills, 51-36, with 13% undecided or refusing to say.
• Michigan Gov. Gretchen Whitmer got a job performance rating of 55% positive and 43% negative, up from 43-50 in January. And 60% gave her good marks for her handling of the coronavirus pandemic.

Epic indeed. It might be a little too optimistic for him, but I am fairly confident that Biden will flip Michigan quite handily.

By the way, I am taking this opportunity to coin a new term for the mentality of SN and other Trump supporters who incessantly insist that every new week is somehow going to result in a Trump rebound: "pollcrastination."

When asked, without naming a competitor, if they’d “replace” Trump, “re-elect” him, or “consider voting for someone else”, 51% of those polled say they’d vote to “replace” him.

That's an interesting little tidbit. 

I certainly don't expect Biden to take Michigan by double digits, but it's pretty clearly his state to lose at this stage. 

The McCain campaign humiliatingly had to withdraw from MI in August 2008. I wonder if Trump's ego would let him to something similar.
