Ike still wins big, sadly.

Truman was very unpopular at the end, certainly compared to Ike. History would vindicate him, however.

If you’re asking specifically about the South... With no Dixiecrat candidate again, he probably does about as well as Stevenson did. Maybe a little better or worse, but not a massive difference.

Truman definitely wins Missouri though. Which was already extremely close as it was and flipped to Stevenson four years later.
