It's the 30th anniversary of 'Spiderland', a cult masterpiece crafted by a bunch of 20 year old kids from Louisville.  The drums in this track are amazing

An era-defining classic, and one of the most important albums of my teenage years.

Call me a massive contrarian (because I am), but "For Dinner..." was always my favorite track. The menacing, insistent quiet reminds me of Webern or Morton Feldman at their most sinister.

I like all the songs, but undeniably the album's highlight comes after 'For Dinner'. Actually that track works as a an interlude between the devastating 'Washer' (the nadir) and 'Good Morning Captain' (the climax). I don't know if I love 'Nosferatu Man' because of the reference to a German expressionist film, or because of the killer drums with those odd and changing time signatures (clashing with the guitars and the spoken words)...

Listened to this on the radio for the first time in years. I loved this song as kid, especially when it was played on the ice rink.

Friday Night Funkin' - Satin Panties (2020)

This kind of slaps for a song about underpants.

At the end of the day, no one is really above prime-era yacht rock. However, I do not advise getting into the Twitter drama over the true definition of the term.

Better known as that song in those cheesy 80's teen movies that plays when the geek tries asking a girl to dance.

The whole song is beautiful, especially the sax solo. Glad I finally got the name and band!
