FF, though I never hated him like some Bernie supporters did. He seems like a smart guy and adds a good perspective, though I do sometimes disagree with it.

Lean HP, since he comes off as abrasive and overbearing to me, even though my interactions with him have been limited. I think he puts too much effort into his posts, particularly when he's trying to rebut other people's arguments. Some of his arguments don't make that much sense.

I stand by my earlier assessment, as I've had one additional interaction with him (regarding Cornel West) since I made this post, and I don't think he understood (or made an effort to understand) what I was trying to argue. Again, I think he needs to be more considerate of others, and less abrasive with his approach.

Obviously he'd be a Republican if the Democrats weren't so far to the right.

I mean if a major development has come about a poster its probably worth making a new thread altogether.

One of the least substantial posters on this forum. And my opinion of him has only gotten worse in the months since I started posting here. Not only does he clearly hate the left more than any right-wing movement, he also celebrated his "victory" of a poster with mental illness being banned, and then threw a hissy fit after I called him out on it. He said single payer healthcare would be as destructive as a new COVID pandemic, and somehow wasn't infracted despite that being textbook "excessive hyperbole." Most conservative/centrist Dems on here are alright, because they recognize at the end of the day that more progressive ideas in the party are much better than the fascist stuff the opposition throws around. Not him.

I’ve hated him ever since he did a DJ set at a local nightclub and made a huge fuss out of the club not providing a bin for him to throw away the apple core he’d just finished. He was acting like it was irresponsible and environmentally hazardous for a nightclub not to have garbage to throw food waste in.

I’m sure if I actually brought it up with him today he’d say it was a joke, but he was clearly very uncomfortable/awkward at the time and dead serious. Gravel Lounge (closed years ago) Seattle Washington lmao, probably 2013-14

It's a little frightening how singularly focused he is on not simply criticizing ideologically, but stereotyping and demeaning those to his left.

"I am not a stereotype," says the man sporting a Socialist-China avatar.

I didn't actually claim that I wasn't.

I wasn't referring to myself; I'm fortunate enough not to have had any interactions with him. I was mainly referring to Berniecrats, a group he spends more effort on insulting than on actually arguing against their ideas.

I find him to come off as a bit aggressive/angry sometimes in his posts, but still seems to be fighting for the right things

He very often gets extremely abrasive or condescending for no reason, in addition to being pretty ideologically distant from me. He also seems like someone who puts too much effort in his posts, if that makes sense.

The "Atlas ranks the Presidents" thread was quite fun however.

Neutral. It is admirable that he's quite independent minded when it comes to politics, and is not afraid of controversy even amongst his fellow Democrats. However, he really needs to chill out some times as he is prone to being quite aggressive and unlikeable when arguing with other users.

Obvious FF. Apparently he did something that pissed people off before 2020, but I either never noticed it or have forgotten.

He puts a lot more research and effort into his posts than the vast majority of people here. Let's not forget that his thorough debunking of the Tara Reade hoax went all over Twitter and even got some celebrities spreading it.

Before 2020? Nah. I only started posting this summer and everything I mentioned happened since then.

He made the Bernie's mad all the time.

There's a big difference between disagreeing on various policies and being openly hate-filled and antagonistic towards anything left of Jeb Bush. As I said there's no excuse for the (unmoderated) excessive hyperbole he employs in bad-faith arguments to support the right-wing position on things like single-payer healthcare. If that comment had been made by SirWoodbury or Jessica or someone else with a blue avatar, they would have been flamed to an absolute crisp.

I am getting a bit concerned for him, what with him talking about (metaphorically?) shooting Republicans in the head and wishing horrible diseases on them. I understand libs need to vent over ACB but geez

That's what happens when you're so far up your ass in partisan hackery that you are incapable of arguing in good faith, or even being a decent person.

Definite FF. Makes extremely high quality posts, not sure how you can say he’s not a substantial poster.
