Engel is gonna win. The momentum he has right now is honestly unprecedented. Here is to another two years!

The Establishment is swooping in to save the King of Foreign Policy, and not a second too soon.

I think he's overstating it, but it does feel like the establishment is awake and will be working hard for turnout in the next week.

He just got endorsed by almost every prominent New York politician. On top of that, he got endorsed by Hillary and Pelosi. This is an area that loves both of them. Once again, Engel is gonna win.

If Engel loses, Serbia will annex Kosovo within 24 hours.

Mark my words.

The area may love Hillary & Pelosi, sure, but if the polling that can actually be examined on an in-depth basis (i.e. crosstabs, dates, etc.) is anything to go by, then they no longer like Engel.

I'm sure the Serbian government refrains from attacking Kosovo because they live in constant fear of Eliot Engel.

Internal polling is general junk, especially in primaries, and should not be taken at face value. I still think Bowman is favored, but this is still very much a race.

Clarified my post re: crosstabs, dates, etc., but the Data for Progress poll is definitely more believable than the internal topline (& nothing else) that we've seen from Engel's camp, given Data for Progress' historic accuracy in Democratic primaries.

FWIW it's wrong to say that internal polling is always wrong.

Gillums polls in Florida had him leading in the primary.

Correct. Engel is the biggest Kosovo defender in America, and if he no longer has influence the pro-Kosovo movement has lost its vanguard. Serbia will be emboldened to do whatever they would like.

Poll was conducted pre-endorsement barrage, from June 11-15. Also is an internal that the Bowman campaign released on their own volition. D4P showed Biden only up 9 in SC the day before, and we saw how that turned out.

You have way too much faith in how voters perceive endorsements.

Would it be fair to say Bowman is the male AOC?

inb4 an Arrested Development narrator joke.
Doubt him, then watch him.

We are in for a Biden style comeback, and it is unfolding before our very eyes.

Even with the GOP money flowing behind Engel i don't think it will be enough

Accounting for leaners, the Bowman internal breaks:

Bowman 56%
Engel 32%
Undecided 11%

The way some of y'all are going to bat for a boring, insensitive Dem in a safe district. Nothing bad will happen if he loses!

A lot of these endorsements seem to be the typical 'issue a statement' and then do f**K all; the Clinton endorsement makes a difference if she does a video, donates & taps her own donor network, uses her email list in NY-16 etc.

But just issusing an endorsement doesn't make a different; I mean I think Nancy Pelosi is the greatest legislator in a generation but I'd still proabably being voting for Bowman.

Democratic Majority for Israel crosses $1 million in spending against Bowman. Engel and his supporters are treating this primary much more seriously than Crowley did.

NY stated today that they won't be counting absentees until a week after the day of in person voting. If this or any other NY primary is not a blowout, there will be no clear winner for a while. The Georgia primary wasn't really hostile between candidates, so everyone was spared potential accusations. However this could lead to an ugly week of discourse and potential fraud accusations.

I could see ugly discourse, but not the fraud part.
