I voted "Yes" with a few caveats.
In terms of the effect on the election, Yes. Votes are much more savvy and informed than in 1988, and will associate the photo op with tear-gassing protesters, removing the priest, and Trump helping himself to a Bible. Those who aren't bothered by this almost certainly would have voted Trump anyway. It hurts him slightly among moderately religious swing voters, which in today's climate could make the difference.
The nature of the act, of course, is nothing like Dukakis' tank ride.
