Support of BLM is surging right now:

Nickelodeon of all networks had ~9 minutes of silence with the words 'I can't breathe' on the screen for Floyd's death. People can make jokes about #wokecapitalism and the like but clearly public opinion is shifting, or else a bunch of these brands decided to play fast and loose with their marketing.

I was dropping people off at the Milwaukee Airport this morning and the Mars Cheese Castle in Kenosha, Wisconsin had "I Can't Breathe" on their sign.

These police have intentionally assaulted members of the press, medics and other neutral parties.
Anyone who continues to defend these monsters is an unprincipled crank.

I’d be curious to see if they get any stats on this... are the donations largely coming from African Americans?

Why does he look like a fourth grader bsing his way through a book report without having read the book?
This one comment was actually funny and it made me laugh.

Obviously those police officers are outliers, because many on this site claim that most/all cops are bad and evil 🤷‍♂️

Trump's imbecilic and condescending attempts to pretend he's a practicing Christian of any consistent doctrine is probably the thing he does that pisses me off the most. When I drunkenly booed him at a rally in 2016 the thing that really set me off was when he said he "loves the evangels [sic] Christians." Using a church as a prop like this, especially without the church's approval is offensive.

Trump's speech was great. No mercy for rioters and looters. Trump's bringing me (and many other pubs) home with these remarks.

Yep. Today is the day Trump stepped up to the plate. After completely losing me for the last three months, I am cautiously teetering back toward him again. He still seems a bit weak, but I would be extremely confident if he put someone dependable like Tom Cotton in charge of the response since he is a bit too lazy.

So, he threatens to violate posse comitatus to use military force against American citizens, and that's what brings you back to the fold?
They were always going to go back to the fold. They just needed the excuse

Chapo made me go neutral --> slight FF for Biden on last week's episode. He was just so endearing even if he punches down a lot. This move makes me go tilt HP to tilt FF on Trump prospectively. But it's not a crazy gap between them. It's completely feasible I just go third party again. We'll see which culture wars are happening in October.

Pretty stereotypical for a rich white guy like Trump, who has spent his entire life hiding behind private security and the police, in addition to totally rejecting the very concept of exercise (and thus the ability to defend himself), to also spend his entire life and presidency acting the part of a tough guy. He is so utterly fake, and even more so than the average politician, if only because of how aggressive he is in seeking attention.

I don't know how you could argue in good-faith that any of this is good for Trump.

It's just partisanship. The idea that a president presiding over a pandemic, and economic catastrophe, and now nationwide civic instability in the form of violent protests and widespread police brutality in response, is going to somehow NOT damage his electoral prospects, let alone help him somehow, is pure fantasy.

You have no interest in removing the root of the problem and are therefore in no position to decry its effects. Period.

Anyone else think curfew's are just another way to quell peaceful protestors? If so, that is unconstitutional.

Wait Biden was on Chapo? Or are you referring to something else?
