He wants FOX to be his and the GOP's personal Pravda. They basically are, but there's only so much propaganda can paint over and sell with individuals as incompetent and evil as the ones in this administration.

This is one aspect of Realpolitik where Trump seems to be a slow learner.

Of course, Trump has outfoxed his opponents again and again, even to the point of winning while trailing in the polls.  Trump knows showbiz and drama, and he knows that his base isn't always preoccupied with nuanced civics.  In Trump's World, you're either for him or against him.  And, in truth, he's not entirely wrong about taking that tack.

Trump's problem here is that he's making it tough for his friends to be his friends.  Unless it's his goal to attack FOX so people view them as "independent" and not merely the counterpoint to CNN and MSNBC.

Another fun question:

Hilarious stuff. I do not understand why republicans are so against mail in votes in the us, but whatever.

If people think Russia is the real threat to the United States in 2020... oh man. Despite all the scare around Putin, I have a funny feeling he’s done more to lead that country to destruction than anything else.

It may very well be true that Putin is leading Russia down a path where it continues to lose population and strength, but it's undeniable that he's also managed to affect the internal politics of the US and the UK probably even beyond his own wildest dreams. He didn't go through all of the extraordinary lengths he did to help elect trump because he thought he'd be great for America. He did it b/c he wants a weak US president. He's been wildly successful. We've never appeared so weak to the rest of the world. They are laughing/mourning at our disastrous response to Covid. China looks at us and smells blood in the water.

Because they think it'll help Democrats.

It's also because "trump said so."
Is it not obvious by now, that many Republicans will go along with whatever the Orange Buffoon says, regardless of how ridiculous it may be?
It's a cult-like mentality (of stupidity).
