Define "best" ...

What indicators would you use to determine that ?

What each user considers “best country in the world” to mean.

I’d take it as best country to live in, to be born in, to be a citizen of. Ideology and policy I most agree with. Perhaps factor in culture, history, geography, climate/weather, wildlife. But that’s me.

Okay, maybe Mike Johnson is a competent parliamentarian.

There's no such thing as a "best" country or even shortlist of "best" countries (although I'd entertain the idea of a shortlist of "worst" countries, i.e. the usual laundry list of Stalinist-cosplayer dictatorships and war-torn failed states).

Diplomatic answer: Most countries have their good and bad aspects, and inside those countries there are widespread differences as well.

My personal preference is however Iceland. Because of the awesome people, good political system which I like, general peace, existence of a Nordic socialist system, amazing nature that you find nowhere else, and i simply lost my heart in Iceland.

Germany seems like the obvious answer.
