Since this is a political Forum, if I had to guess:

Owners of European-manufactured cars lean left, American-manufactured cars lean right, and Asian-manufactured cars are close to average.

European cars are expensive, so I bet owners of them were a Romney voting demo.

USA doesn't even sell the recommended gasoline for a Porsche Panamera.

In my experience, owners of American automobiles are union people or working class construction pick up truck owners. And all the Chicanos with their lowered 90s era Chevrolet S-10s with rims and speakers.

This perfectly describes my dad, lifelong union member, construction worker, and American pick up truck owner.

I don't have a car, but my dad has a Peugeot SUV, so French.

French cars are increasingly becoming like foreign cars.

While growing up they were all of a particular style you could see immediately. (When I was growing up my dad had company cars, which were generally German or American).

I don't think I've ever driven a Japanese car come to think of it unless one I borrowed from a friend in college or one got as a loaner car from an autoshop was one.

All my previous cars were American, I have a Hyundai now.

I don't recall ever renting one, I think I've only rented American and Kia (so also Korean.)

However that current Hyundai has a flashing check engine light. I don't really need a car now so I'm not in a hurry to get it fixed but until I do I'll probably drive my mom's if I have to...a Subaru, so Japanese.

A flashing engine light is usually a sign that the car is misfiring, which is worse than if it’s just a non-flashing engine light. The latter is usually some smog control that you can easily ignore.

South Korea. It's a mediocre car for a mediocre man. It's beat up, it's my fault that it's beat up, and I'm lucky to have it.

My mother has a better if also older car, from Japan.

I have two Hyundais. One I got at the end of high school, and looks pretty good from afar, with some cosmetic issues when you look closely. And I have another one I got a year and a half ago that (knock on wood) is in excellent shape.

I am not necessarily loyal to Hyundai for the rest of my life, but it’s hard not to keep going back to them when they are so well made for that price point.

I think an awful lot of pickup owners these days are rich suburbanites buying King Ranch crew cabs and the like.

Still own my first car, which is proudly American-made.

Unfortunately, I think my next one may not be American; most good luxury brands are foreign. Maybe a Tesla.

Yes which is why I'm not driving it until I bring it in to be fixed.

My car is a ford, which is obviously an American brand, though it was made in Britain.

And tow trucks too, you'll see a lot of 'em with that attitude!...Except for Punch-buggies, Alfa Spyders and 70's-90's Mercedes anyway.

I do not have a car, as mine officially died in March, and my girlfriend and I are just driving hers until it drops, too.  Before that, I had a German car (2009 Audi A4).  I miss it every day. Sad  (I especially miss it because I got it 4 years used, in 2013, for just $18,000 due to some wacky California trade-in law.)
