Boycotting Israel is stupid and I'm not going to give up Sabra hummus (afaik the only Israeli product I buy regularly). People who want to buy inferior hummus just to make some stupid political point can go ahead and do it.

What annoys me the most about the far left is how it sympathizes more with authoritarian Muslim countries and places like Cuba and Venezuela rather than the western European democracies it claims it wishes to emulate.

You know innocent civilians live in authoritarian countries, right?

Yep...I'm referring to the idea of people on the left actually believing Cuba and Venezuela have a model for America to follow.

I'm pretty sure that's mostly a Repubmican talking point and mostly not a real thing.

Most far Leftists hate the gulf states, and they recognize Cuba and Venezuela as being targeted by NATO unfairly for nationalizing key assets that used to be foreign owned.

I think he was referring to Syria and the old regime in Libya, not to the Gulf States.

In American politics there are only two acceptable positions on Israel, pro-Israel (Obama, Sanders ect.) and super pro-Israel (Trump, Biden ect.).

Biden was always on the more dovish side of the Obama administration, and his staunch opposition to annexations makes him very, very different from Trump- something that Netanyahu is very aware of as he rushes to annex before the election.

Yeah, Biden is so anti-annexation, that the worst Israel could expect from him after it happens will be a strongly worded admonishment from a very disappointed friend.

You can say that without proof, or look at how Israeli officials are acting and learn from it.

You’re beyond delusional if you think Palestinian leadership aren’t partially responsible for the situation of their people.

Why doesn’t anyone ever bring up Yasser Arafat’s billionaire daughter? Or Hamas leaders living lavish lifestyles in Doha with usurped foreign aid while Gazans live in poverty?

Or that Arafat literally rejected a two state solution that would've not only given the Palestinians the West Bank and Gaza Strip, but also east Jerusalem and instead chose to continue demanding that Israel be replaced with a one-state Palestinian country.

Yeah, this is the kicker. Palestinian leadership sacrificed their people because of hardliner pressure. So Biden is exactly right.
