Gerrymandering and decade redistricting would make this a doozy.

I suppose they could take the Quebec/Australia approach and name those seats after famous pols. Heck, there's a provincial seat in Montreal named after a hockey player.

Here's my attempt at Washington:

WA-1: Western Slopes
WA-2: North Sound
WA-3: Vancouver-Lower Columbia
WA-4: Yakima Valley-Columbia Plateau-Okanogan
WA-5: Spokane-Palouse
WA-6: Tacoma-Olympic-Kitsap
WA-7: Seattle-Vashon
WA-8: Central Cascades
WA-9: South Lake Washington-Federal Way
WA-10: South Sound

EDIT: Since I just saw the post above on the Australia/Quebec style of doing it, here are the Washington districts using that style:

WA-1: Sanoah Huestis - Youngest victim of the 2014 Oso mudslide
WA-2: Scoop Jackson - Long time Senator for Washington
WA-3: David Johnston - Volcanologist killed in the eruption of Mt St Helens
WA-4: Chief Kamiakin - 19th century leader of the Yakama, Palouse, and Klickitat tribes
WA-5: Tom Foley - Speaker of the House 1989-1995
WA-6: Elizabeth Ordway - "Mercer Girl," suffragette, and a major figure in strengthening education in Washington Territory
WA-7: Wing Luke - Washington Assistant AG 1957-1962, civil rights activist
WA-8: Dick Scobee - Astronaut killed in the Challenger disaster
WA-9: Sally Jewell - Former Secretary of the Interior 2013-2017
WA-10: Hazard Stevens - Medal of Honor recipient during the Civil War, first confirmed person to climb Mt Rainier

In Italy single-member constituency are* identified by a number but have also a semi-official name. The logic is very simple: the largest municipality (or for districts covering big cities, the largest neighbourhood) is used for the name.
The problem is that in the USA: 1. municipalities as they are intended in Italy (or generally, in Europe) only exist in some states; 2. it's normal for congressional districts to split cities and towns fairly randomly; so I doubt this system would work or make sense.

*to be fair I should use the past tense, since after the constitutional referendum of this year a new electoral law will have to be passed, and in all likelihood we'll go back to the proportional system
