You have to admit that flat earthers make some decent points sometimes.

All of those who write anti-science blogs about climate change – and there are plenty – should take a look at most of the paragraphs above, and the many paragraphs below, and ask themselves which one is closer to reality? (If you don't know what the results of climate models and data mean, you can google them, it won't hurt you.)

Like all science, climate science has a diversity of opinions. Each person has his or her own background, experience, and understanding of the scientific method. Each has his or her own perspective, particularly on climate change, which means the final voice you hear may be different.

God works in mysterious way. If you are capable of taking time for what is impossible in your way, then that is blessing and you are right. People who stop, stop because they are capable of it. Time is a mess. Sometimes when you start it looks like it's going to go wrong. Sometimes it turns out perfectly in the end. Otherwise you're falling. Don't let things take your place when you have had the time to improve.

When I first started playing games the idea was that you had to spend time with the player in order to make the player better. That was not true then. Most games were just a short 15 minute experience. They were designed for the display of your skill and were not designed to encourage you. Some even had to say goodbye to their pets.

Earlier on Tuesday, a stray cat crossed through the barrier. Its last home was within about 300 metres of the border.

The fence was built to try and prevent animals and farmers from crossing into France from the Schengen zone.

Anyone who still genuinely believes the earth is round needs to seek serious help and intervention, immediately.  If the majority of people in America still think that the earth is flat today, they need to think about what they are saying to future generations and to themselves.

"I was wrong and will never do it again! I was always 100% certain there was a reason the earth is not flat and we were wrong! God is at fault, the Mormons are lying and are damaging their children's minds!"

"So forgive me, D. I have made a list of things I need to do, to show how wrong I was and will NEVER do it again. What will it hurt? No one cares, so what does it matter."

It has always been this way. The world has always been flat and this video proves this a thousand times.

A startlingly poignant testament to the lengths lonely, isolated people with a penchant for viewing the world through a black-and-white lens will go in order to construct a narrative where they feel important.

There is no rational reason for a vast conspiracy to sustain a global ruse over such a simple to demonstrate natural phenomena, unless you begin from the line of thought where you believe that malevolent forces are out to deceive people and work specifically against you and your community of like-minded online buddies. This is really the core of all conspiracy communities. People who are predisposed to think that a.) powerful forces are out to sow falsehoods and control the people b.) view all events through a simplistic good vs evil binary and c.) position themselves and their peers as the protagonists of resistance to these shadowy cabals will engage in a feedback loop of positive affirmation, stoking each other’s delusions and encouraging members to conduct “research” to share with the community. You see this dynamic all the time, it perfectly describes the QAnon dupes as well, for example.

These are lonely, depressed people searching for something to latch onto, and for this particular group, it revolves around fighting an uphill battle against the machinations of “big globe.” Take that narrative away from them, and they lose their sense of self-importance where they’re making an actual difference. We will drive ourselves to believe all sorts of absurd things in our quest for meaning and self-relevance.

There is no such thing as a bona-fide flat-earther.
