https://www.thegazette.com/subject/news/senate-race-polll-iowa-eddie-mauro-theresa-greenfield-michael-franken-joni-ernst-20200514

The poll was conducted from May 7 - 9, contacting 632 voters.
Ernst: 42%
Mauro: 42%
They've also released some questions that are effectively concern trolling about other Democratic candidates' weaknesses. It's worth noting the primary poll showing Greenfield dominating was fielded prior to the Des Moines endorsement of Franken and before both Franken and Mauro put up new TV ads.

That said, I don't expect Mauro to come close to securing the nomination.

RABA Research is kind of a joke, their schtick is that they're bipartisan, very "both sides"-y. Their numbers are probably reliable, but I'm surprised a Senate candidate (especially one with money) is using them.

If their numbers are reliable, then this poll is notable in one sense; it's the first in the electoral cycle not showing Republicans ahead of Democrats in this race.

My reliable retail politics model still has Ernst winning (and only one 99-county tour away from wrapping it up), so we can safely dismiss this Democratic internal poll by desperate Eddie Mauro.

It’s pretty hilarious that he’d release an internal which doesn’t even give him a slight lead.

Yet we are in a Pandemic not in a 3.5 percent unemployment rate economy where Ernst would be safe and cruise to reelection.  Workers cant work in Iowa's meatpacking plants due to coronavirus

OC noticed me!!! Purple heart He didn’t get my rating right (I think this is Likely R, not safe), but still, this has to be one of the greatest honors I’ve received during my tenure here on the forum.

I also noticed that Solid who has been promoted Greenfield that he hasnt been posting lately. He is the main one that says Greenfield has a chance and she doesnt.

He needs to stand his ground and defend Greenfield, but Greenfield is a B candidate
