Here we go. After Gerald Ford narrowly defeated Jimmy Carter in 1976, it’s time for the next election. Who will be the 39th President?
Ford did not get much done, except bringing military action in Iran during the hostage crisis. This action caused a War in Iran, that congress signed off on.
The citizens are angry that we are at war again, and dislike President Ford’s handling.

Ford approval:
Approve: 47%
Disapprove: 53%

The race is on to replace President Ford, there are many potential candidates on both sides.
The rules of this game are simple.
1. Remember to campaign, if you don’t, you’ll fall in the polls.
2. Endorsements are two per turn. You message me and ask about them, I’ll probably grant them. However, during the primaries you can only get ideologically similar endorsements or party members.
3. Debates. Not required to participate, but it will help a lot
4. Choose your candidate, give an announcement speech. Post your schedules for the turns. 2 ads per turn in primaries, turns last two weeks.
5. You can give many speeches, or no speeches, up to you.
6. Each turn, new polls will be released. If you want polling for a certain state, you can request it.
7. I will not be biased towards any candidate, everyone will start off with an equal chance, and I will be determining random events and results of actions through a random number generator, oh, and remember to have fun!

Candidates:
Democrats:
Confirmed:
Ted Kennedy-AshtonShabazz
Potential:
 Walter Mondale
Jerry Brown
John Glenn
George Wallace
Henry Jackson
Frank Church
Shirley Chisholm
Among others.

Republicans:
Confirmed:

Potential:
Ronald Reagan
Bob Dole
George HW Bush
John Anderson
Howard Baker
John Connally
Bob Fernandez
Among others.
Have fun!
