If Democrats win both of these with Biden as president, it will be the first time since 1969 that the president's party won both of these seats.

I think Democrats win both Virginia and NJ, regardless of whether Biden or Trump is President.

Murphy has been INCREDIBLY popular with his coronavirus response.

And I think the GOP is dead in Virginia (and NJ) for statewide races for a while anyway.

Will take a few years for the state Republican Party to mellow out, I think. They're just too extreme to win right now.

Democrats win both races.

Murphy wins by a greater margin than whoever the Democratic nominee in Virginia is.

If Biden and Murphy win(my prediction). It will be the first time since 1985 that New Jersey elects a governor from the same party as the president. Also, Terry McAuliffe will be governor again.

This may be the case.

2021 is a 1985. Jack Ciattarelli is not beating Murphy. I don't even think people can say his name correctly

VA: Democrats just win without Fairfax. Republicans still need a decent candidate to have a chance, but Fairfax is beatable.

NJ: Republicans need a strong candidate to drop it from Safe D to Likely D. The state is a tad bluer than it was in the days of Christie, who was a strong candidate.

Democrats probably win both. I might rate NJ only Likely D if Republicans can get a good candidate, but it's still going to be a stretch.

I don’t think Phil Murphy will be re-elected due to an increasing backlash to the (necessary) COVID restrictions in the state. The Republican nominee for governor in New Jersey will either be Bob Hugin or Jack Citarelli. Virginia might flip Republican as well if a strong candidate such as Barbara Comstock or Eric Cantor decides to run.

Even if Comstock won statewide she would still lose Loudoun County. Like she did in 2016.
