The year is 2016 a presidental election year and this maybe a contested year indeed. After eight very succesful years of President Rudy Giuliani a preident who will go down in history as one of the most succesful presidents the United States has ever had many Americans are tempted to vote for another Republican to carry on the legancy, However many Americans are tired of 16 years of Republican rule and would like to see a fresh face occpying 1600 Pennsylania Avenue. This is were the great tale of the election year 2016 begins.

Ohio Secretary of State 1999-2006
Ohio Governor 2006-2015

Summery- Ken Blackwell became the first Black Governor of the State of Ohio after a very close election and recount during the 2006 midterm elections. As the first Black Governor of Ohio he promised to make his tenure in office memorable for the people of Ohio and he did just that proving to be an effective governor by tackling the corruption left over by disgraced Governor Bob Taft and by attracting more job creating industries to the state by making it more business friendly, These reforms made him extremely popular and he was reelected governor of Ohio with 65% of the vote in 2010 and Since he was term-limited he left office in 2014 with a 75% approval rating. A few months after leaving office he surprised many and created interest among the more fiscally conservative Republicans by announcing his intentions to seek the Presidency of the United States since Vice President Rice said she wasn’t going to seek the Republican nomination in 2016.
