He was New Jersey’s Senator and he supported the death penalty, but Bush did very well in New Jersey in the actual 1988.

I don't agree with the consensus here that Bradley would lose. He has all the positives of Dukakis and none of the downsides, we have to remember Dukakis was leading Bush by as much as 17% in July of 1988, I think there is a serious chance Bill Bradley wins the election.
