In response to the Civil Unions Act, I move to allow any two consenting adults- regardless of sexual orientation- the right of civil union. Therefore:

No measure can disallow any two conseting adults the right to civilly unite, regardless of sexual orientation.

Senators? Mr. President? Justices?

I agree that all people should have the right to a civil union, but given the wording of the bill, it would seem to potentially not allow civil unions actually....it needs to be reworded. It says that no civil unions can discriminate or disallow any two consenting adults...this would seem to disallow civil unions for homosexuals unless civil unions for heterosexuals were explicitly allowed by law, which as of now, they are not...I know what you are getting at but this bill needs to be reworded.

Thanks. I would support this legislation. You have to get a Senator to bring it up on the floor of the Senate for a vote, however.

This isn't official until you get a Senator to propose it Smiley

I'm inclined to agree.  I voted against the first civil unions bill.  I'll vote against this one too.

I completely agree, but as long as it's legal, this is how it should be regulated.
