Heck no- Gillum is NOT going to be the candidate, believe me.

We need Gwen Graham to run.

Previously I thought DeSantis was going to scare away Nikki Fried, but now I don't really think anyone is shaking in their boots to square off against corona ron.

Agreed, I thought Nikki Fried would wait to run for Governor until 2026 due to DeSantis’ popularity. But given how poorly he has handled the Coronavirus situation, I think Fried very well may run in 2022 (and win).

His approval rate is still around +15, just saying

First of all, that's in the middle of the pandemic, not when it's over and people can clearly see and reflect on the impact of his failed leadership. DeSantis was one of the few governors to see his popularity decrease, rather than increase by double digits, so there is a penalty being applied.

Depends on how DeSantis approvals will be and who's prez. Likely some random dude as sacraficial lamb. High profile politicians usually don't enter races they see little chances of winning.

Do not understand the focus on getting a current member of congress to run — where are the people clamoring for Kathy Castor or Lois Frankel?

Fried is probably the most likely of these names. The funniest possible candidate would be David Jolly.

They'll probably get some respectable state legislator to run against DeSantis & lose of course.

He'll stay in the House for the rest of his life.

Charlie is extremely happy running for office every two years (that was the part he enjoyed, much more than the governing thing) and being comfortably re-elected by a constituency that loves him.
