"I voted for Bernie in the 2016 primary, then again in the 2020 primary, but he lost and I really don't want Trump to win because he's worse"?

Or are you saying someone who wrote in Bernie in the 2016 GE, but will vote Biden in the 2020 GE?

Lower info voter, unironically "Biden's the Obama guy bro" sort of voter. Older millennial, or one who was in college in 2016 and isn't now.

Or are you saying someone who wrote in Bernie in the 2016 GE, but will vote Biden in the 2020 GE?

This one's easier - they probably assumed Clinton was the favorite like most did. Now they've lived through 4 years of Trump and are very willing to fall in line to get him out.

If you're talking about the primary, then it's either someone who really disliked Clinton or someone who had a sincere change of views over the past 4 years.

This would describe me honestly. I was thinking of millennial Biden primary voters which seems a lot rarer.

Me. I voted Bernie in 2016 and was going to abet more reluctantly this time vote for him in 2020. However, after the votes rolled in on the primaries of March 3rd and March 10, my rationale for voting for Bernie (generates more excitement, has a high floor of support) went out the door and as a result of this and Biden proving himself a strong candidate, I decided to vote for Biden on March 17th.

That was actually me. I'm 24 and voted Bernie in 2016 and Biden on Super Tuesday this year.

It was mostly due to being anti-Clinton (who I voted for in the 2016 general election.)

Me. I was farther left in 2016 as a college freshman. And I really didn't like Hillary Clinton. (Didn't technically vote Bernie [on a plane on caucus day], but volunteered and got both my parents to caucus for him). Since then, I've become more moderate.

Funny, I've only gotten further left.

Typical twitter "vote blue no matter who" democrat. He/she/they will just vote for any democrat whether they agree with him/her or not just so Trump gets out of office.

People who just really didn't like Hillary Clinton (these types of voters are not that hard to imagine, honestly).

There were clearly a lot of them, but I think more of them were WWC types living in for example rural Missouri than millennials.

I know several of these IRL, actually. All in their mid-30s who are in different careers and places in life than they were 4 years ago.

People forget that most millennials are 30somethings now and many are married, settled down, etc and aren't going to rallies and s**t anymore.

EDIT: It's so weird when people talk about reaching out to millennials by events on colleges and such. I graduated from undergrad 10 years ago and don't feel I have anything in common with college students etc. Millennials aren't young people anymore.

Yeah, same here. A lot of people still just use “Millennial” as synonymous with “young person,” unfortunately.

That said, Bernie still won even among the 30-44 group. So he won older millennials too. But not by as much as younger millennials and Gen Z.

White male born into a reliable but not super partisan Democratic family. I have a couple of friends like this, I think feeling a sort of personal connection to candidates is really crucial to them.

I agree, i'm 31. I wasn't referring to Millennials as kids.
