Not really. You're in the midst of an anti-Trump fantasy. He simply turns to Dr Birx and asks for guidance.

She said 60-65k a couple of days ago. That may change.

The USA is in the grips of a national emergency, and you are drooling over these deaths hoping for more to prove a point with a pre-pubescent forum post.

You have the wrong perspective on this pandemic.

I don’t think anyone wants more deaths and it’s awful you’d suggest that.

I am fervently anti-Trump, and while I recognize he’s done a terrible job, I still hope he’ll do well. The fact is, Republicans have never taken this crisis as seriously as it very clearly is. That’s why you have a few reopening way too early and others who took way too long to shut down. And with Trump giving conflicting advice and openly encouraging dissent among the populations of Democratic states. He is sowing mistrust and creating even more panic, all for political purposes.

What if he's 6 feet from other protesters? I mean if its safe to go into an indoor abortion clinic now surely its safe to stand on the sidewalk 6 feet away from everyone.

If he’s 6 feet away from other protesters then sure.  That’s not how many of them are protesting but if they abided by guidelines then sure.

Still doesn’t take away the moron accusation though.

Weren’t initial estimates of deaths saying 200,000 deaths in America by August? Then the outlook improved. And now we’re kind of on track for it again.

It’s hard not to see this as extremely bleak and horrible for our country and the world.

So he wants to test less so that our numbers go down (while they actually rise)...so aside from the sheer idiocy of this, what could possibly be a reason for him wanting to test less/bring numbers down?

The only thing I can think of is that with fewer tests bringing our official infection numbers down, it helps make his case that we're somehow safer going into November.

I can't blame just him for completely disregarding American lives; some blame must rest with his voters.

Are we ever going to get over this?

It’s only been 5-6 months but it’s really wearing on my mental stability. It’s hard to see any light at the end of this covid tunnel.

I wish people would wear freakin masks. We would be over this a lot sooner.

4 coworkers tested positive. Probably two more who are still waiting on results but showing symptoms.

We work in a confined space.  My test came back negative. I’m the only one who wears a mask the entirety of our shift... but I know that’s not 100% and is only very effective when everyone wears one.

Still, it’s scary and stressful. It’s only summer, when viruses aren’t supposed to be big concerns; I can’t imagine what winter is going to look like.

Below that it says something with "BLUE".

Oh, my bad.

My point stands though.  It doesn't take a genius to know who they intend to vote for this year, and who they voted for in 2016.  I'd bet serious money on it.
