It will be closer than this, but Peters may yet survive.

I don't know how many polls are needed to show that this race is not really going to be close. If the best a Republican pollster can come up with is Peters leading by 9 that really doesn't suggest a competitive race.

I can honestly see Peters winning even if Biden loses Michigan. He outperforms him in almost every poll we’ve gotten.

He's going to be fine provided that the election doesn't turn into a Trumpslide.

John James is not even a top five recruit nationally.

Yep. Easily the most overrated recruit of this cycle

Peters will probably win this my mid to high single digits. Similar to 2018.

John James is not even a top five recruit nationally.

True, but Gary Peters isn't the strongest incumbent either. He's a good guy, but pretty boring.

Well, I guess he's probably the best Republican recruit among non incumbents. Or at least tied with Tommy tuberville.

Admittedly, considering the very few Democratic seats that are remotely vulnerable outside Alabama, that's a very low threshold.

Coronovirus has made every Gov popular and Whitmer has been elevated due to her approval of coronavirus.  That's why Peter's will win

Considering how extremely rare it is for a MI Senator to lose reelection and how the General Election is shaping up to be this year, I think Peters is going to be fine.

The Rs dont have anyone else but John James,  since Kid Rock doesnt want to mess up his relationship with Hollywood and Marshall Mathers, since he declined to run in 2018 against Stabenow

New Poll: Michigan Senator by Other Source on 2020-04-11

Summary: D: 46%, R: 37%, U: 16%

Poll Source URL: Full Poll Details

The reason for the title saying by 10% -- the actual difference was 9.6, which you can't tell because of rounding:  46.3% to 36.7%.
