There's that 42 number again. It's basically haunting Trump in all of these polls.

As a PA-er, LOVE seeing all these polls. Wolf having a +50 approval is well-deserved.

This poll does seem dem-leaning-- 60% of respondents are female.

And yet the makeup is only 45% Dem, 41% Rep, which seems low since the state registration is D+8

Biden’s strength with older voters and whites could propel him to a surprisingly comfortable victory in Pennsylvania imo.

Pat Toomey is so lucky he was up for reelection four years ago and not this year. Probably secretly rooting for a Biden win as well.

Toomey is similar to Tester or McCaskill (before her luck ran out) in that he's gotten very lucky with the years he's run in. No chance of winning in a Dem-leaning or even neutral year.

There’s rumor that he’s not running for another term, but we’ll see.

I've been saying this for a while, but I'm really not that worried about PA this year. Not that Democrats should take it for granted from a campaign standpoint, but I'm pretty confident it will vote to the left of the tipping point state.

Also, I at least pronounce it "suss-qua-han-na" ("han" pronounced like "hand")

It usually has an R bias, so this looks good for Democrats.

Quote
Nationally, the FOX43/SP&R poll taken April 14-20 also gauged Pennsylvanians thoughts on President Trump's handling of the COVID-19 crisis and the 2020 Presidential Election.

Currently, President Trump trails former vice president Joe Biden 48-42 in a poll of nearly 700 statewide voters. Specifically in the FOX43 viewing area, Trump fares slightly better, but still trails Biden 46-44. That is notable, Lee said, because Central Pennsylvania is still majority Republican, which Trump carried in 2016.

That's the Harrisburg, Pennsylvania market which contains at most two counties (Centre, containing State College and Dauphin, containing Harrisburg) the only two counties between the Philadelphia and Scranton-Wilkes-Barre metro areas in the east and Pittsburgh in the west that went for Hillary Clinton, and those two just barely. (I am not sure of whether State College is in the Scranton-Wilkes-Barre market or the Harrisburg TV market). This was all in all a Strong Trump area in 2016 and is a toss-up now.

Figuring that Democrats have maxed out in Greater Pittsburgh and Greater Philadelphia, this is how a state flips.

Schuylkill -- "Sky-kel", The first syllable and last syllable rhyme with the first and last syllables of "bicycle".

Good, but once the campaign starts it'll tighten, most likely.

..

Why should we expect the polls to tighten, Pence isnt helping Trump. He only rallies the military but doesnt help out Trump in public relations with the media. Gore, Cheney and Biden did more than Pence as Veep

When Trump got burned by media by his disinfectant comment, Pence just watched
