Why?
Because Michigan is going to suffer worse economically than most other states in these upcoming months. When that happened in 2008 Obama captured the state by 17 points. I think people don't fully comprehend how difficult a fight Trump is going to have to keep Michigan close.

Yes, it looks very likely that if the election were held today then Biden would win easily.  Of course there's still a long way to go.

If Trump's smart (he's not), he'll triage Michigan and pour those resources into PA, WI, and MN (he won't)

Polls are looking really good at the moment. These are certainly encouraging. Also confirms that WI will be the toughest of the three to win back.

Trump is the President and has a 90%+ approval rating in his party, yet he still can't get above the low 40s in polls of swing states that he barely even won with 47.3%, 48.2%, and 47.2% of the vote, respectively. It's not looking good for Team Trump.

God, these numbers remind me of 2016...

Trump's not getting 38% and if Biden's failing to outperform Hillary's numbers then he's finished.

Trump's 2016 numbers were mediocre at best and Clinton lost because she failed to consolidate the anti-Trump vote. Considering the current political environment is quite reflective of 2018 and its trends, that Trump is President, and that we are in a serious crisis, I don't think it's unreasonable to say all Biden really has to do to keep defections at modern averages is simply keep the major gaffes to a minimum.

Anyways as I always say, polls are worthless and misleading at this point, especially with coronavirus. Call me back in October

The lead is good, but jesus, could they push these people? This is some 2016 nonsense with like 15% undecideds. Or at least push the undecideds of who they *LEAN* towards

Uncle Joe is amazing. But I am very wary of complancy. We cannot assume we have won or even know if we have won until the election actually occurs.
Also I redouble my fellow posters and point out the fact there are loads too many undecideds.

Agreed that undecideds are WAY too high. Biden has to be happy with these numbers, though.
