Sam is a mean guy, but I like a laissez-fair approach.

I support myself having those powers also.  Tongue

And really, I am a very laissez-faire moderator.  Chances are I won't even read all the posts either.  Smiley

I strongly oppose Sam Spade having any more powers than he already retains.

So, as far as I can tell, we've got Sam, Alcon, and Texasgurl nominated. Although Texasgurl has deregistered and quit her senate seat in the month since she nominated herself. Is she still interested in being moderator? I'll PM these three and let them know we're to vote. If I've left anybody off, let me know. Masterjedi declined nomination, right?

I just said I'm not going to try and get it. If people voted for me though and I recieved a majority though I'd take the job.

I believe that TCash would be well suited for the job in addition to the others suggested.

You were nominated. Based on this, I will include your name on the "ballot."

Will this be approval voting, IRV, FPTP, or some other type of voting?

I guess the best answer is IRV, as we would a federal election. Remember, though, this isn't within constituional realm. It's just that it's been sitting here for over a month and we've just gotta do it. I think I'll post it in the regular FE thread. We'll give it 72 hours or so and report to Dave.

As much as I love the plushie, I'm leaving it off. Any write-ins will only count once the candidate accepts the votes.

What other concerns, anyone?
