If we take the RealClearPolitics average of their favorability, Pelosi/Schumer has a combined net of -26 and McCarthy/McConnell has a combined net of -27. Lots of people would vote third party I think. Ultimately I would say Pelosi would win because she's a pretty good debater but it would be a true tossup.

I guess Pelosi wins. But the election is marked by extreme levels of indifference. Turnout sinks to around 48% or something.

Pelosi would be vulnerable to becoming another Hillary Clinton: loathed by the right, good in debates, viewed as very elderly and weak, etc. With McCarthy at the top of the ticket, she could easily lose.
