This amendment has recently passed. As per the duty I have I hereby present it to you to open the vote on confirmation. Smiley

Election Time Constitutional Amendment

All elections to the Presidency and the Senate mandated under this Constitution shall begin at 1800 Eastern Standard Time on the Thursday before the second to last Friday of the month in which they are scheduled to take place, and conclude exactly 72 hours later, except in the month of December, when elections shall begin at 1800 Eastern Standard Time on the second Thursday of the month and conclude exactly 72 hours later.

Before the governors open the ratification votes, I suppose that we should have a public debate about the amendment.

I strongly favor the amendment. It will make it much easier for the Department of Forum Affairs to conduct elections, if the SoFA does not have to stay up until midnight. I see no reason to vote against this excellent proposal.

We could do both at the same time but it's the Governor's decision.

And I strongly favor this as well because it makes the SoFA's job easier.

Do you wish for a booth to be opened now, or should all regions vooths open and close at the same time?

It would be impossible for them to open/close at the same time. It's whenever the Governor sees it and can get to it. Smiley

Are you closing yours at midnight EST tomorrow?

The booths stay open for one week.

This means I won't be here for the start of elections, but it's a good change.

Explanatory note on my vote:
It's a very slight improvement, not really what I was hoping for, and not even strictly necessary, but an improvement nonetheless.
