When Bill de Blasio was elected New York City mayor in 2013 in a landslide over GOP sacrificial lamb Joe Lhota (remember that name?), he was seen as the new progressive lion in urban cities.

He did speak about police abuses (one thing I agree with progressives on), but he has been lazy and ineffective in terms of jobs, housing, etc.

What do you think of de Blasio's mayoralty legacy? He is term-limited from running for a third term as mayor in 2021 and I don't think de Blasio has a political future.
