Germany won the WW2, but what happened meanwhile. Let me briefly explain the most important world events, partially inspired by the Kaiserreich universe / mod, but not entirely. This will take multiple posts, one for each continent, and more for Europe, with brief interludes for "elections" in certain countries.

1917-1922: The Communist Revolution takes place in Russia. Bolsheviks take power and win the civil war. Lenin becomes leader, followed by Stalin.

1918: Germany wins WW2 after a long battle, Italy who in this TL never switches side wins as well, together with Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria and the Ottoman Empire. Germany annexes large territories in the east, especially former Russian territories. Belgium splits in Wallonia and Flanders. Flanders, Netherlands, Norway, Sweden, Finland and Denmark as well as the Eastern European territories all are under the influence of Germany. Ottoman Empire annexes parts of Greece and Asia. France and UK start granting indepedence to colonies and start decolonizing. Ireland declares independence.

1918-1920: After the Great War, a syndicalist revolution takes place in France and they overwhelm forces, proclaiming a syndicalist people's republic in 1920 after a bloody but quick civil war, releasing all overseas territories & colonies, where civil wars start as well. Similar syndicalist revolutions take place elsewhere but fail, except for in Wallonia where a socialist government takes over, and seek re-unification with France. A bloody civil war takes place in Greece where monarchists take power. France creates the fourth internationale, and Wallonia immediately joins.

Countries in Europe:
German Alliance: consistent of mostly authoritarian monarchies under the sphere of the German Empire
German Empire (world leader, empire with conservatists ruling in weakened parliament)
Kingdom of Sweden (monarchy)
Kingdom of Finland (monarchy)
Kingdom of Norway (monarchy)
Kingdom of Iceland (monarchy)
Kingdom of Flanders (monarchy)
Kingdom of the Netherlands (monarchy)
Kingdom of Poland (monarchy)
Kingdom of Ukraine (monarchy)
Kingdom of Belorussiya (monarchy)
Kingdom of Georgia (monarchy)
Kingdom of Lithuania (monarchy)
Kingdom of Latvia (monarchy)
Kingdom of Estonia (monarchy)
Kingdom of Albania (monarchy)
Kingdom of Italy (monarchy with right-wing forces in power)
Kingdom of Portugal (monarchy with right-wing forces in power)
Kingdom of Spain (monarchy with right-wing forces (carlists) in power)
Austro-Hungarian Empire (authoritarian empire)
Tsardom of Bulgaria (authoritarian tsardom)
Ottoman Empire (authoritarian empire)

*not in bold is basically puppet or satellite state, and aside of Albania, Scandinavia and Netherlands with a German king in rule.
**Most countries have a weakened parliament, but not a full democracy. The King holds the most power, and parliament is dominated by right-wing, center and rarely liberal parties. Social democratic and socialist parties are banned.

Rest of Europe: consistent of mostly nations opposed to Germany and allies
Kingdom of Romania (monarchy with far-right forces in power)
Kingdom of Greece (monarchy with far-right forces in power)
British Empire (monarchy with weakened parliament with rivalry towards German Empire and allies)
Commune of France (syndicalist dictatorship)
Commune of Wallonia (syndicalist dictatorship)
Union of Soviet Socialist Republics (bolshevik dictatorship)
Swiss Confederation (neutral state)
Republic of Ireland (democratic republic)
Azerbaijan Democratic Republic (far-right dictatorship)
Chechen Democratic Republic (far-right dictatorship)

*Ireland (incl. Northern Ireland) and Switzerland are the only full republics
**France has a parliament, but non-socialist parties are banned. Similar circumstances in Wallonia
***Greece and Romania have basically a military junta with loyal monarchists in power, but with revanchism growing in the inner ranks.

1914-1918: USA never intervened in the first world war. As the leader of democracy, the USA was disappointed to see democracy back in decline, but isolationists grow back in power in the senate & house of representatives. The USA supports neither side in Europe, except for the British Empire, with whom it has close ties. Canada stays loyal to the USA, UK, Australia and New Zealand. Mexico meanwhile allied with Germany. Through support of the German Empire, Mexico formed their third empire, and annexed parts of Latin America in the world war.

Countries in America:
United States of America
Canada
Mexican Empire
Republic of Costa Rica
Republic of Cuba
Republic of Panama
Dominican Republic
Kingdom of Haiti
Republic of Nicaragua
Argentine Republic
Republic of Bolivia
Brazilian Empire
Republic of Chile
Republic of Colombia
Republic of Paraguay
Republic of Peru
Republic of Uruguay
Republic of Venezuela

1920: Election in United States

1920 marked the re-election of Hughes in an uninspiring election with dramatic turnout.

Turnout   37.1%

Charles Evans Hughes / Charles W. Fairbanks 71,1%
James M. Cox / Franklin D. Roosevelt 25,2%

Events in Germany 1919-1930

1919: DNVP, DVP and Zentrum win elections and form goverment together.
1920: Some Zentrum dissidents form new party (DKCP), while Zentrum leaves government.
1920: Germany closes all communication with the socialist republics worldwide
1922: Economic and social problems cause turmoil in Germany. The German empire is still in recovery after a devastating war. People in general were unhappy with authoritarian measures. The German empire was entirely self dependent on colonies, it's navy and surrounding sphere.
1924: Zentrum wins elections. DNVP, DVP, DDP, DKP and DKCP (German Conservative Christian Party) form government, while DNAP, Zentrum stay in opposition.
1925: Zentrum demands relaxation of ties with the British Empire, and wants to negotiate for friendly relations with both the USA and the British Empire. The DNVP, DVP, DKP and DKCP all reject that. Zentrum brands itself as the true opposition party, but loses support among Germans.
1926: A small socialist take-over takes place, but quickly failed. Zentrum cooperated according to government parties and is subsequently banned for 5 years.
1926-1929: The economy recovers, and German Empire is now reliant on it's allies. Republics, socialist states and the entente are seen as hostile. Life returns to normalcy in the German Empire, and it's subjects are tightly controlled by Germans.
1929: DKP (German conservatives) wins elections, but turn-out is down and form government with DKCP - the right-wing heavy protestant party.
1930: Germany announces the formation of the Mitteleuropa World Order, quickly joined by Germany's allies, as an independent world group founded to deal with outside threats, mostly socialist revolutions and the developments in the USSR and the French commune. They're quickly joined by Mexico, Brazil, Spain, Portugal, Ottoman Empire, China, Austria-Hungary, Bulgaria, Spain and Germany's subjects and close allies.

In 1930, Germany is the world leader in terms of army and navy, but also culture. The economy recovered, and the people seem very happy despite relatively authoritarian measures, but there are still fringe groups which demands change such as universal suffrage. Despite the threat of it's socialist neighbours, Germany adopts a wait-and-seek approach. Some insiders desperately wants better relations with the UK and USA and move from an autarky to an economy based on trade.
