At this rate, It might be a contender for the most populous SC county by 2040-2050. What are the contributing factors to this trend in this particular county? And why does the population growth causing the county to become more republican instead?

Its similar in profile to some other Southern beach counties (Baldwin, AL; Bay, FL; Santa Rosa, FL) - big tourism booms, so you get a lot of new construction/retail jobs on-top of snowbird migration.

And in the end the construction/retail jobs bring in low-propensity voters while the retirees are high-propensity ones, you could say?
