An old, old-style conservative Southern Democrat who thought Gore was okay, didn’t like Kerry, but still wouldn’t vote Bush since voting Republican would make his grandpa turn in his grave.  He finally voted Republican twice since he thought Obama would turn the White House into a mosque.  Then he suffered a severe stroke, after which he voted how his libertarian grandson told him.

Moderate/center-right socially moderate upper-middle class republican in southern suburbs.

I know an example of a Gore-Bush-McCain-Romney-Clinton voter, so I assume the OP demographic would be a similar demographic.

Another example could be a white-ethnic middle class non-college educated voter who were subconsciously racist but are otherwise fairly centrist.

A first time voter that voted Gore because incumbency, stayed home because they didn't care for politics, McCain in 08 because either they're from Arizona or appreciated his war vet status, Romney in 2012 due to bad employment statues, Johnson in 16 due to hating both main candidates, and Biden due to disapproval over trump

Or Kentucky. This is pretty close to how some of my extended family voted.

A military man from a small town who finally gave up on the Democrats after Gore but was deployed in Iraq during the 2004 election and did not get an absentee ballot. He didn’t trust Trump to be commander in chief but also didn’t want another war in the Middle East in 2016 and therefore voted for Johnson.
