Pink Panther, with Steve Martin.

It wasn't nearly as bad as everyone swore it was, in my opinion.

Brokeback Mountain -and I wish I hadn't seen it.  Must they make those gay sex scenes in that canvas tent so graphic?   Tongue

The moment I heard that Brokeback Mountain had gay sex scenes in it, I resolved then and there that I would never, ever, ever see that movie.  A movie about gay people does not need gay porn, thx.

I just yesterday saw Ice Age: The Meltdown on opening night.  It was fantastic; I highly recommend it to anyone who likes animated movies.

March of the Penguins was G-rated pablum that belongs on TV

You have no appreciation for art. Sad

I agree. The Swedish voice over wasn't very good, unfortunately, but as a movie it was great. Stunning.

Stunning? It was a documentary on penguins. It should have been aired on Discovery or National Geographic.

If you don't want to see a documentary on penguins, you can always not go to the theatre it's being shown in.

I thought that it was a marvellous movie.  So what if it didn't have any humans in it?  The real-world story that the penguins went through in March of the Penguins was better than a lot of stories written specifically for a movie.  Plus, it had a bunch of cute pictures of animals.  Anyone who doesn't appreciate cute animals has no soul.

Also, the soundtrack was absolutely gorgeous; I immediately knew I wanted to buy it the moment I left the theatre.

Ice Age 2

Poor attempt at a sequel.

Stop living right now.

The last movie I saw was Akeelah and the Bee.  It was surprisingly good, given its rather simple premise.  There was a quote presented in it that stuck with me long after the movie.

It was a hilarious movie, though to be honest Borat looked the most 'sane' in the scenes with the rodeo guy and later the megachurch

I saw The Pursuit of Happyness the other day.  It was really good; I think it was the best job I've seen from Will Smith to date.

No, actually, it's spelled "happyness" in the title.  It's a reference to the daycare the main character sends his son to in the movie.  To illustrate how poor the neighborhood is, the word "happiness" in their version of the Declaration of Independence was misspelled, but no one wants to bother to get it fixed.

The movie is based on a true story, in which this actually was the case.

I read that for grade 12 English.  Good book, though I hated the ending.  Never knew it was made into a movie.

You hated the ending?!?!? That part was awesome (unless it's different from the book, which I have to read), I loved the twist.

The film is quite good and Richard Burton (who would've been a great OO7 in his time) is fantastic...

Not all of it.  I do agree that the twist was interesting.  I'm more talking about the very very end where they fail to get away and such.  I thought that was kinda dumb.

K-PAX. Wow, how did I ever miss that movie? I mean, I know I only saw the "edited" version on Sci-Fi but edited or not, it was pretty dern good.

Oh and I also saw National Lampoons Van Wilder on comedy...it was funny but cheesy. Smiley

Ah, K-PAX.  That's some quality movieing right there.

I just saw Idiocracy, which Fox for whatever reason has tried so hard to make me not know about.  Great movie.

Finally! Someone besides me thinks The Living Daylights was amazing!

It's commonly recognized among the hardcore Bond fans as one of the best.

It's good to know that we have company Smiley

Not to mention a good theme song Smiley No joke.

I was just about to say this very comment.  I always like A-Ha.

I just got back from Reign Over Me, and I never thought I'd say this about an Adam Sandler film, but... wow.  Give him the Oscar.  He deserves it.

I like the games the movie was based on, but I refuse to see the movie because I heard it was bad (as 99% of movies based on games tend to be).

I saw The Bourne Identity for the first time today (my mom and I decided to go through the whole trilogy in one shebang over three weekends).  It was good.

And, Gabu, watching 3 movies in 3 weeks does in no way qualify as a "shebang".

It does for me, given that I usually watch like three movies a year.
