(Bought it yesterday)

Go ask for a refund before you unwrap it.

Hey, anybody see Silent Hill? I know it's based on a video game, but the guy who directed it directed Brotherhood of the Wolf a few years ago and he's known for atmosphere, which I think is good. I haven't seen it. It will be out toward the end of the month and if it's any good I'm going to get it. I know it won't appeal much to the Lady of the House, so I wanna be reasonably sure it's good before I try to make time for it. Smiley

Citizen Kane

What can I say? An absolute classic.

Yep, seen it. I'm a huge fan of the video games and I think Gans did a fairly good of getting the atmosphere across. But it wasn't scary enough in my opinion. There are some good moments, but it's nowhere near as intense as the games (especially 1 and 2, which are absolute masterpieces). Still, worth watching IMO.

Agreed, watched it the other day.

Last film at moment was The Godfather, good but I wouldn't put it in my top ten I reckon.

Their are only a few movies that really freaked me out. The original Exorcist and The Ring were really freaky.

"Inherit The Wind"

Another classic with two of the greatest of all time: Spencer Tracy and Fredric March (I know some people are saying "Who?")

Not only that, but this movie also had Pittsburgher Gene Kelly, and Col. Potter from MASH plays the Judge.

I laughed pretty hard at some parts, but I didn't think it came anywhere close to Anchorman.

Irreversible

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0290673/

Wow. Just... wow. This is the closest depiction to hell I've ever seen on film.

3 Iron is my favourite Kim Ki Duk film (10 out of 10 masterpiece IMHO), but Bad Guy is almost as good.

I got to admit to not having seen any before this one. I was aware of the name, and intended to see one sometime... so now I did.

I recommend virtually all of his films. Well, at least from the ones I've seen.

Well, I finally saw Batman Begins which I thought was well done in most parts, though a bit of a letdown after all I've heard about it. Great ending though to set up for the next one. I also saw Sophie Scholl: The Final Days again yesterday. Second time was less good, but still one of the top five of 2005. Today I saw Scoop, which I recommend highly. Woody Allen is hilarious through the whole thing and the story is fairly interesting.

Itīs great, isnīt it ?
Did the american version have subtitles or was it in english ?
Itīs just bad it didnīt get an oscar 2006 for best foreign movie.
the actors, especially julia jentsch were playing shockingly realistic.
