A few nights ago, I saw "In Good Company" with Dennis Quaid, Scarlet Johansen (hot!) and that guy from That 70s Show. It was pretty amusing but nothing spectacular.

Am I the only one that doesn't find her hot?

I think she's ugly and everyone is always falling all over her. I really don't get it.

Paradise Now, and it was the best film I've seen this year. I'm a pretty big Israel supporter, but it made me question and rethink some of my beliefs and that's always a good thing.

Just came back from watching 'An Inconvenient Truth', and it was actually pretty good (somewhat on par with the 'March of the Penguins' documentary), and have already strongly recommended that my older sister go see it as well.  There wasn't much I didn't already know, but Gore (amazingly) managed to keep it interesting enough to hold my attention.

I saw the Omen today. Pretty decent for a scary movie, nothing to in-depth.

How does it compare to the original?

I haven't seen the original, but two of my friends had, I both of them thought it wasn't as good.

'Reindeer Games'. Pretty good flick.

Isn't that with Ben Affleck?

As for me, the last movie I watched was Sum of All Fears. Okay movie, but the worst of the Clancy 4.

Yep. I also watched 'Exit Wounds' which is suprisingly good for a Steven Seagal movie.

Does steven only use his arms in that movie too?

No, he uses guns a few times.

No, he uses guns a few times.

I've yet to see him use his legs in a fight yet

The Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. Once Upon a Time in the West is the best Leone film, but TGTBTU is brilliant in its own right.

I need to buy the Blue Underground disc of Django... yes, I'm addicted to spaghetti Westerns at the moment. Smiley

I finally saw "The DaVinci Code" two weekends ago, and "Mission Impossible 3" last weekend.  "X-Men 3" will be this weekend (if I can find the time).  After that . . . I think I'll go back to my video collection and stay at home.  hahaha

Yup, saw it Saturday night.  Pretty good.  Seemed shorter than the other two movies though.

I just watched Jurassic Park III. What an appauling addition of the series. I haven't watched The Lost World in such a long time so I don't remember if it's as lackluster as this film but that may be pretty difficult. It's amazing how bad this film is, especially when you compare it to the smart adventure film that was the original and the novel (which I'm currently reading). The whole film feels like it never got past the first draft stage and has a direct-to-video quality about it. The only redeeming thing is the appearance of the original cast members and even that is misused.

What Jurassic Park IV needs to do is get back Crichton to write the story, Spielberg to direct and the characters of Grant, Malcom, and Ellie and have the story revolve around the military occupation of Isla Nublar (which we haven't seen since the original and we can assume that the military took it over if they sent troops to the other island at the end of JPIII) and NO TAG ALONG KIDS! If they don't atleast get the original team back together it won't be worth watching.

I've seen Failure to Launch, Superman Returns, Cars, and Pirates of the Caribbean II since I last updated. All but Superman Returns were good, Superman was merely decent.

Noo Hin!  I was on the bus to Pattaya and they showed it on the way - bootlegged DVD no doubt.

Noo Hin is based on a popular cartoon series in Thailand that has been around for 30 years.  This movie is a very cute and hilarious story about an 'upcountry' girl from Isaan who goes to Bangkok to work in a factory and ends up as a maid for a wealth family full of beautiful daughters.  Noo Hin is very homely, hyperactive, and sometimes downright strange, but extremely plucky, and has an strange ability - when she is feeling happy, proud, or in love - of appearing incredibly beautiful.  Nice idea.  There are many such cartoonish aspects of the film, which has a really appealing surreal look.. similar in concept to Sin City mentioned above, though a very different kind of cartoon.

Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest

Saw it last night, a week after I saw Superman Returns.  Both were great movies.
