Scary Movie (the first one)

It was definately one of the worst movies I'd ever seen and it disturbed me that people saw it in middle school and thought it was good AND that their parents let them see it.

Over the weekend I say:
X-Men - I'm not a fan of this genre, and unsurprisingly didn't think much of this.

The English Patient - Better than I thought it would be, on the whole not bad.

Braveheart - Seen it before, but it's very entertaining (even if it is from the  Riefenstahl school of film-making).

The last movie I saw was Akeelah and the Bee.  It was surprisingly good, given its rather simple premise.  There was a quote presented in it that stuck with me long after the movie.

It was funny! Sure it was raunchy, but it wasn't that bad!  And parents not letting their kids see movies/TV shows/computer games I personally find to be disgusting.

"The Benchwarmers."  It was actually quite good.  Laughed through most of it.

The first half was idiotically comical, though. Grin

But the second half was SOOOOOOOO disturbing....

Bit heavy on the saccharine, but some great photography, some violence, some good music... I'm not complaining. Yeah, it was good.

I just watched almost all of Brokeback Mountain on the plane on first leg of  my journey back to Thailand, but they turned off the entertainment as we were landing in Taipei.  I missed the last part.. damn!

Excellent movie up till that point.. now I really want to see the ending.
