Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring.

I didn't think I'd like that movie, one reason I didn't see it until now, but it was pretty good.  Oh, and Aragorn rocks!

Scary Movie 4.

Scary Movie 3 was WAY better and I would have rather seen it on video, but it was okay.

I saw the "Benchwarmers" last night.  Now, I'll be the first to say that the movie looked like it was going to be terrible, but I saw it, and I thought it was incredibly clever.  Four stars.

I LOVED it!!  I had to rewatch it!  Sad thing is, I know people, who while aren't as extreme  in their personas as B-Rad, are just as deluded!

The Girl Next Door

I was surprised how much I actually liked it.  I'd seen it before, but just decided to watch it again the other night.  One of the better movies in my dvd collection.

Went to see Silent Hill on Friday. It was alright. There was a bit too much plot exposition for my liking, which is to say it lacked the sort of ambiguity that contributed to the game's atmosphere - one of the main reasons it was so frightening was precisely the fact that you never quite knew what the hell was going on. I was also disappointed by the use of gore; the games didn't need gore to be scary, they went solely by the strength of their atmosphere. That, and Pyramid Head's appearance struck me as rather gimmicky - he was only really there as a nudge and a wink to the fans, whereas in SH2, he was virtually a central character.

I happen to think that the film was good, quite good, up until the point where they introduced all these secondary characters, and then it turned slightly haywire. Heck, they even explained where the sirens came from.

Thank You for Smoking, clever film that makes very good points. If you're expecting a laugh-out loud, laugh a minute film, this one isn't for you; the humor is subdued which is effective.

You all would like it, I think, especially some of the libertarians Wink .

That's the last one I've seen. It was good. There were some scenes that had me cracking up.

The Squid and the Whale
Very good. Pleasantly surprised as I didn't expect great things from it. Very good performances all round.

Munich. Best film of 2005, in my opinion. Spielberg and everyone involved really brought their A-games to the table to create a gripping psychological thriller. Everything is almost perfect about the film.

Yeah, Munich was great. I've seen Why We Fight and Sophie Scholl: The Last Days. Both were entertaining, though the first was Fahrenheit 9/11 with a different title. The latter was excellent, very moving, well acted all around.

Munich was alright. I thought that it dragged on for far too long. Some of the characters really annoyed me, too. The best part was when the Jews and Arabs are accidentally arranged to spend the night in the same place. The Jews had to cover their identities but the Arab leader still found a way to accuse them of being Jewish sympathizers.

East of Eden, starring the remarkably hot

James Dean.

Not a great actor, actually, although he's good enough.
