Moon

2001: For people who only have 90 minutes to spare.  It was decent.

S. Darko

It's even worse than you think it is. Absolutely excruciating. It might be the most boring film I've ever seen in my life.

The Trip

About what I expected, at times very funny. My kind of humour.

Not counting Wallander, Akira. I've written a review of it here.

The Good Son. Pretty disturbing. I pretty much agree with Roger Ebert's take on this.

Natural Born Killers

Probably pretty amazing if you're on drugs. It almost gave me a headache.

Fright Night (2011) - perfectly good movie.  The acting was good, and the special effects were really enhanced by the 3D.

1969

Kind of enjoyed it because I'm basically preprogramed to dig films set in this time period. Most of the acting was pretty bad though (the notable exception being Robert Downey Jr.).

Yep. Rather depressing movie, but I sort of expected that going in. I really like noir.

Je T'aime Je T'aime (1968)

My interest was stoked by a fact recalled from long ago that this film was a major influence on Charlie Kauffmann. Though I foolishly tried to order my ticket by pronouncing the French title (there is no other title) it was a great experience really (albeit one very frustrating; the style of 60s Resnais is something that needs time to get used to). But really needs to be seen twice.

Limitless, it was a nice popcorn flick and the visuals were amazing.

I caught the last hour and a half--which was most of it, I think--of some tweeny film in which Elizabeth Banks and that dorky fat guy from Knocked Up decided to make a pornographic movie.  They were broke and living in Pittsburgh in the winter and stumbled upon this idea to make a porn in the coffee shop where he worked.  I got pretty caught up in it, but I think that if I had my life to live over again, I'd have turned the channel early on.

Mumsy, Nanny, Sonny & Girly

Wow, this was a nice find. A great little British black comedy/horror movie from 1969 that apparently nobody really remembers. Check it out.

I saw the last Rambo movie over the weekend on TV (it was probably cut)...and I liked it, esp the ending.  Glad to finally see Rambo at peace and loving Christ.

That was the beginning of the end for Tim Burton IMO.

The Thin Red Line

I don't know if it's the best war movie ever made but it's probably the prettiest one ever made. Seriously, the cinematography is outrageous.
