Inception.  I did find it quite impressive and interesting.

You know I just realized that movie is basically a 16-year old boy's dream movie. Imagine how hot a 16-year old boy would find them, and it's not a kiddie chick flick like almost every movie with mostly teenage girls in the cast.

Qualunquemente

Great film. I've watched all Albanese's sketches and this film is the perfect crowning of them. The sad thing is that it's depressingly realistic.

Watched "It's kind of a funny story" last night, I thought It was good, better than I thought It would. The ending was kind of cheesy/hollywood ending but overall worth renting.

Trainspotting - It was good, better than I thought it would be (but nothing amazing either).

King's Speech. Solid, but I wasn't THAT impressed. Probably the weakest  out of the BP nominees that I've seen.

Academy Purple heart British accents.

The only thing that bothered me about the film is that you could see that Colin Firth was obviously wear soft contacts when reading his speech.  King or not, I don't think those existed back then.

The Hospital- A great underrated movie. Probably George C. Scott's best movie. Didn't like the ending much, but besides that it was great.

The Trotsky

Kind of a stereotype of an indie movie but it's really, really good.

Paranormal Activity 2. Decent film, but nowhere near as good as the original. Might have been better had I seen it in the theater.

Das Leben der Anderen, for the second time. Was slightly drunk this time, which did wonders for it. I lose my cynicism when I drink and for a horribly romantic and sentimental film that definitely enhances the experience.

The King's Speech

Quite excellent. Although I think they could have cast a better Churchill.

The Kids Are Allright.

Probably my least favourite of the Best Picture nominees I've seen so far. Still pretty good.

That one felt like shameless Oscarbait to me.  So did the King's Speech, but I liked it a lot more.  Not sure why.

The King's Speech was definitely Oscarbait, but did a good job of it. The Kids was just, I don't know...I felt like I've seen this kind of film many times before and that this wasn't that original. Basically.

We watched the first half hour or so of that movie, then shut it off because it wasn't very interesting.

That's the only one of the ten that I haven't bothered to watch.

Lesbian artists still haven't quite figured out how to get womens' issues into the mainstream without seeming pretentious and dull.  Maybe one day they'll figure it out.
