The Savages

Pretty far from deserving that Best Screenplay nomination, but it was a well done and rather funny movie, with great performances from Laura Linney and Phillip Seymour-Hoffman.

I am Legend
It was better than I thought, though they really twisted it in comparison with the book.

With three movies and counting, we are still yet to see one that bears any resemblance to the book.

War.

Wouldn't have been much of a worthwhile movie if it weren't for the twist ending, well that and the call girl with the absolutely smoking body.

The Queen (2006)

I thought it was a good film, better than I originally thought it was going to be. I can see now why Helen Mirren won Best Actress for portraying Queen Elizabeth II. And no it wasn't because of her hair and her accent Tongue

Eh... it's too commercial. Superbad does everything American Pie attempted and failed to do, and much better.

In Brouges
Very funny, and some good performances from everyone in the cast. Good dark comedy.

There will be blood. To summarize what I think of this would require an undergraduate Thesis to be accurate so I won't bother. Suffice to say, Daniel Day Lewis' performance isn't quite as good as you have been hearing. It's way, way better than that.

Fantastic Planet

French cartoon from the early 70s. Very psychedelic and original.

I just got back from No Country for Old Men.

My god.  That was the tensest movie I've ever seen.  I'm still not sure what even happened at the end.  I'm going to have to think about it for a few days.

Born on the Fourth of July (1989)

Though I only saw half of the film (we can thank my Mum for that), I thought it was a good film. I wonder what happened after he gave that Jesus statue to that Mexican prostitute?

Charlie Bartlett. I liked it, although it got excessively sappy toward the end. Nonetheless, entertaining.
