The pursuit of happiness. Excellent movie based on a true story. Very inspiring.

I just got back from Reign Over Me, and I never thought I'd say this about an Adam Sandler film, but... wow.  Give him the Oscar.  He deserves it.

The Illusionist, which was quite good and very interesting. I'd give it about 8 out of 10.

Also watched one of my favourite Bond movies, From Russia With Love, and finally was able to watch all of On Her Majesty's Secret Service, which I really didn't care for. Besides Bond having to cry a bit at the end its still the same fluffy romp as later Bond movies, ie late Connery and Moore Bonds.

Still my top 5 would be:

1. From Russia With Love
2. The Living Daylights
3. Casino Royale
4. Goldeneye
5. Goldfinger

I just saw Blades of Glory. Not exactly Oscar material, but hilarious nonetheless.

Indeed it wasn't but still I had high hopes that the film would be funny and enjoyable and it more than lived up to them.

I also saw Shooter last week and.... lets just say it wasn't very good and only somewhat enjoyable... This was mostly because of Kate Mara who is very easy on the eyes... I mean you could peace together the fugitive and the sentinal and make this move. Wasn't anything special.

Direktören för det hele (The Boss of it all)

Lars von Trier's latest comedy. Absolutely hillarious. That man is a comedic genius. It's been a long time, in fact, since I laughed that much to a movie.

Blades of Glory. It was hilarious.

Also, completely off topic, but I thought this was kind of cool:

I watched The Prestige last night, and I was very disappointed in the ending.

Blades of Glory.

It was...glorious. Will Ferrell redeemed himself after the mess that was Talladega Nights. The only downside was the fact that the Napoleon Dynamite loser had more than five minutes of screen time.

Also, seeing Will Arnett on the big screen just made me want an Arrested Development movie so much more.

Blades of Glory.

More Talladega Nights-like crap. When Will Ferrell finds the magic that made Anchorman and his part in Wedding Crashers genius, call me.

I've been waiting to see that.

And Will Ferell must be the most over-rated actor in the world. He is so ugly and annoying that it's almost astonishing. How he gets to be included in movies I don't know.

A lot better than other movies that have been made like it recently. I'd call it good but nowhere near great.

The Prestige

A great film that's even better the second time around. Is some of the fun taken away if you already know the twists? Absolutely not since the second time around you devote your time to locating the hints that Nolan and company has spread throughout the film and you can just sit back and enjoy the great performances that are given by the whole cast.

Nolan continues to become my favorite director. If you're looking for a modern day Hitchcock, he may have been found.

The fact that this film was completely overlooked during the Oscars is upsetting. Bale or Jackman should have been contenders for Best Actor and Caine would be much more deserving of a Best Supporting Actor nomination than Wahlberg.

Das Leben der Anderen / The Lives of Others. Not sure what to say! This year there were at least two very strong foreign language contenders, this and El Laberinto del fauno / Pan's Labyrinth, all I can say is while both are amazing I can definitely see how this one won the nod. I can't recommend it strongly enough.

Thats funny, my friend thinks Ferrell isn't good anymore because he started relying too much on slapstick humor in Anchorman, compared to when he was on SNL.
