Biden 62
Sanders 34

Not that we needed confirmation that Bernie has no path forward.

Remember when Bernie's surrogates were calling on Warren to drop out of the race once it became clear she didn't have a viable path forward and was just prolonging the eventual one-on-one race?

A few weeks ago Sanders said that he is not a masochist. I guess we are about to find out if he was telling the truth.

There is no WI poll and if there was it would probably have Biden +15-20 and comfortably beating Trump.

Senator Sanders needs to stop cheating gullible college kids out of their money and just drop out already.

Sanders can suspend his campaign and still be on the ballot in these states.  A vote is a vote, it doesn't matter whether he's still campaigning or not.

It's just a fake excuse.  He's tricking people into thinking his motivations for running are merely selfishly policy-based.  His actual motivation for running is hoping for a miracle as his rabid base throws the kitchen sink at Joe Biden and, barring that, being able to use the rabidity of his base as a blackmail chip when it's time to strong-arm the party into putting M4A in the platform.

The party is never going to want to deal with his base again after this. Almost everyone else understood the best time to negotiate for the best possible seat at the table is after you recognize you have no path, but before the public does. You still have something to offer. Staying in the race and losing by larger and larger margins doesn’t help anybody. It hurts Biden because the Bernie Bro’s will continue to cook up scandal after scandal and it hurts the progressive cause because nobody takes them seriously when they start losing by 2 to 1 margins in a two person race.

We already don't want to deal with his base.

Yep. And if Bernie truly cared about defeating Trump, he would've learned all this. But he's selfish and narcissistic.

No concessions should be made to Bernie's deranged base. If they refuse to vote for Biden and put us with Trump for another 4 years, that's on them - not on Biden.

I went on r/SandersforPresident and they still are donating and think that he has a chance to win. Not sure if they are in denial or just haven't been paying attention to the race.

Option 3: it is a cult of personality

They'll continue donating after he formally drops out.

They're just holding out hope. It's understandably difficult to admit that your candidate will lose, lord knows the Hillary supporters had a hell of a difficult time with that in 2016. Bernie's campaign isn't even pushing fundraising, he's pushing donations to charities, for the record.

Hillary lost by like 40 delegates in 2016 and won the popular vote.  Sanders is on track to lose by 700 delegates and polling 30-40% behind Joe Biden.

And exactly- at the end of the day Hillary dropped out 4 days after Obama clinched the nomination. Bernie took 8 weeks to endorse and never formally dropped out. She and Bernie are not the same. He is deluded.

If Biden does pull out a win in November, then Sanders's legacy will be that of someone who managed to remake one of the two most powerful political groups in the most powerful country in the world from a party that needed to appeal to hardline progressives to win in the general to a party that can do just fine without them. That is a level of long-term destruction of the progressive cause that no Clinton, Biden, or Trump could have ever managed.

Meanwhile, Sanders's remaining die-hards seem to be sensing the same dominoes falling, and are pulling one of these:
