God, it's gonna come down to the wire, isn't it. Quite disappointed that NC-GOV flipped.

Republicans are going to win the Senate I think. At worst they have a 50-50 Tie if they can hold TX, FL and MT.
The Midwest could cost Harris the Presideny!

New Hampshire has a Senate contest this cycle? I thought New Hampshire voted for Senator in 2020, and 2022?

New Hampshire does not have a Senate contest this cycle in 2024. They have one in 2020 and 2022, which I showed in those prior elections (Dems won both).

I don't believe I did. I think I colored it gray, not green. I colored NH Gov. green at one point because at 10:00 it was "undecided".

You might want to check out the aforementioned maps for both contests, in New Hampshire again as one is colored green for Senate contest & red in governor’s contest.

This is definitly a waaay better Night I initially expected for the Republicans when it became apparent that Pence would be the Nominee. Of Course Nikki Haley would have won this thing going away. Great chance missed by Republicans. Wonder what she is thinking now? I'm curious how the Popular Vote looks like as many of the Battlegrounds States were decided by 1 Point or less.
We have now a totally devided Government. I expect Gridlock between Democrats and Republicans over the next two years. President Harris will have a very hard time governing here and if she governs like the liberal Senator she was in CA then Republicans will win big in 2026.

I'm not sure what the exact popular vote numbers would be. Maybe, I'll post them with the election results. It would be something like 48.5-45.5 (3 point lead for Harris).

If Haley was the GOP Nominee she probably would have won.

Nov. 6, 2024: President-Elect Harris declares victory

Wikimedia Commons

Hello and welcome to CNN, I'm Wolf Blitzer. Tonight's election was very close and contested and the results surprised many pundits. Vice President Kamala Harris beat former Vice President Mike Pence in a close election. Democrats lost one seat in the Senate but held on to their majority with Vice President-Elect Pete Buttigieg breaking ties. Republicans were able to gain a few seats in the House of Representatives. Vice President Mike Pence and others are disputing the results and declaring that fraud might have helped Harris win. In Florida, Harris won by .4% and in Pennsylvania, Harris won by just over 1%. If Pence had won both of these states, he would have won the election. Pence has refused to concede and is demanding a recount in both states. An automatic recount with go into effect in Florida, as state law requires a recount when the margin of victory for one candidate is less than 0.5%. Even without Florida, Harris still would have won the election and her campaign has said that they are not worried about this. Harris spoke Wednesday morning about her victory and her plans for America.

"Hello America! I told you all that we could do it! We are determined and excited for the future of our great country! We have broke countless barriers tonight! We have finally elected a woman President and many young candidates were elected all around the country. We've also elected the first LGBTQ+ Vice President, Pete Buttigieg! I want to thank Pete for everything he has done and I am so excited to work with him! I also want to thank you my husband Douglas as he is my partner is life and my best friend! I also want to thank both my mother and father, who both unfortunately could not be here tonight. I also want to thank our great President, Joe Biden for everything he has done and the support that he has given me in our campaign. Without Joe, our country could look very different right now, in ways that I don't even want to imagine. As a country, we have triumphed and have taken on many obstacles including the Coronavirus pandemic, race inequality and many more issues. We need to continue this and we need to continue to work to make America a safer and better place for everyone! Lastly, I also want to thank you the American people for believing in me and electing me as your 47th President!

I'm so excited to get to work! On day 1, I will work with the Democratic majority in the Senate to get key legislation passed including climate change legislation. We need to work with our allies on key issues. We will work hard and continue the progress that we have made in the last four years. I'm so excited and so proud! Thank you again and God Bless You and lastly, God Bless America!"

Nov. 7, 2024: Mike Pence refuses to concede

Wikimedia Commons

Two days after the election, former Vice President Mike Pence spoke and refused to concede. Pence declared that fraud in key states is why he lost. Pence stated, "Hello, everyone. We did not lose the election. Votes are still being counted and I believe that we can still win the election. A recount is taking place in Florida and there is likely still votes left to be counted in Pennsylvania and Arizona, among other states. I'm proud of our campaign and everything that we've done. Thank you everyone!"

Most Republicans including Pence's VP Nominee and Iowa Senator Ernst, and several others also when asked have said that same thing that Pence said, that votes are still to be counted and it is not over yet. One notable Republican, Speaker of the House, Kevin McCarthy said that he is proud of the work that they have done and is so proud that Republicans gained seats in both the Senate and House. Massachusetts Governor Charlie Baker tweeted and congratulated President-Elect Kamala Harris on her victory.

Who is the governor of Washington now?
Representative Denny Heck will become the Lut. Governor of Washington in 2020. Governor Inslee runs for re-election and then does not run for re-election in 2024. Heck will then run for Governor in 2024 and win. In January 2025, Lut. Governor Heck will be become Governor. I'll post the Senators & Governor from each state after each senator is inaugurated.

Popular Vote among the 15 Battleground States combined excluding Maine 2nd & Nebraska 2nd

Vice President Kamala Harris 48.54 %
Former Vice-President Mike Pence 47.68 %

This is creating a big Challenge for Harris to govern.

Why isn't Ted Cruz demanding a Recount in TX-SEN cuz that Race is at 0.5 as well.

And in Montana the State has a Law that if the Race is within 5.000 Votes there is an Automatic Recount as well. Looking at the Numbers I doubt Tester is 5K Votes ahead of Fox.

You're right and I did not include that. Cruz would demand a recount in TX-SEN (below .5%) and same with Tester (below 5,000 votes). But the recounts would not go anywhere. O'Rourke and Tester have both won and recounts would not change that.

Harris again would in the end lead by 3 points in the popular vote given that Democrats always win in cities and large states like New York and California. The popular vote lead would not be more than 3 points because turnout was lower than expected as a result of Harris' scandal.
