Reade just tweeted that the AP story is false, but she's literally quoted saying she didn't use the terms "Harassment" or "Assault".

She chickened out because Chris Wallace was going to tear her story apart.

She probably wanted Sean Hannity or Laura Ingraham

Now she's saying that she canceled her interview because of death threats.

Alleged complaint filed with a congressional office

After the alleged assault, Reade said she filed a complaint on a clipboard in a Senate personnel office — she could not remember the name — about the alleged harassment, not the assault. She never heard back about it. No record of the report has been located.

The office that fielded harassment complaints at that time was called the Senate Office of Fair Employment Practices. It was replaced in 1995 with the Office of Congressional Workplace Rights. In 1993, the law said that harassment allegations would be heard by an independent board.

Reade suspects that Biden’s Senate office might have gotten alerted to a complaint and that it might be in Biden’s official Senate paper archive at the University of Delaware. Those records are sealed from the public “for two years after Biden retires from public life.”

I think Reade might be confused here. The AP story doesn't say she didn't file a complaint, but it says her complaint does not specifically mention harassment or assault. Which she is quoted as saying in the article.

what difference does that make at this point
when she has now said that if even they do find the complaint there it would not even bring up assault' or 'harassment.

if that is the case digging through University of Delaware files is now pointless and a waist of time

Consider that she’s not a seasoned politician or press secretary who’s been trained to answer journalist’s questions. It’s not as simple as just going on national TV and telling the truth. Reporters have a way of pushing people in a corner.

Ridiculous excuses. You do not have to be a politician or a press secretary to give coherent and truthful statements. She canceled her television interview. I'm starting to think that she does actually have mental problems and doesn't now how to keep her lies straight.

It did.

Last year, she said she chickened out and didn't file a complaint.

She changed it yesterday to that she did file a complaint, but it didn't mentioned sexual assault or harassment.

This whole mess is infuriating and I'm not sure how to feel other than angry at a lot of people, regardless of their politics or whether they support Biden. Sorry.

Pre-Snowden Greenwald was pretty good, all things considered. I think he's gone off the deep end and it's sad, though the same could be said off the people who think he's a Useful Idiot for the Kremlin (if not paid by Putin himself!).

Ryan Grim, Nathan Robinson, The Intercept, and the rest of that crowd should never be taking seriously again.

I would go farther than that. If I were Biden, I would sue Nathan Robinson in particular for libel. By his own admission, he pressed these "witnesses" into providing false "corroboration" by coaching them into recalling conversations that never happened. He clearly and deliberately set out to destroy Biden, facts and truth be damned. When the actual facts and truth were inconvenient, he fabricated his own. He knowingly published falsehoods with the intent to harm someone's reputation. That's textbook libel. There is a very strong case for it if Biden wanted to go down that road. Politically it may not be the best option but in terms of justice it certainly would be.

Libel is hard to prove (He would have no chance against Grim), but he would have a punchers chance against Robinson.

There is no doubt in my mind that the guy is funded by Putin. I can't explain otherwise how a gay man, who ostensibly cares so much about civil liberties and freedom of expression, has such a boner for a dictator who criminalized homosexuality and routinely assassinates dissidents.
