Is it possible for someone to have been a Goldwater-Wallace voter without being race motivated?

Insane hawk á la Reagan who likes Goldwater even more after the Daisy ad and LeMay even more after he mentions nuclear war to end Vietnam.

Certain suburban Republicans around the country who would have supported Reagan instead of Nixon in 68 despite Reagan being too moderate for their liking.

These types of voters were likely ethnic whites in places like Staten Island, where this type of vote was common, however segregation was not supported as integration had already been established policy in New York.

You really think Staten Island whites who were Goldwater 64/Wallace 68 voters were supportive of integration? In THEIR communities?!

Integration has never been established policy in any part of the United States.
